Andre Heuvelman

Andre Heuvelman was born in 1966. He studied at the Rotterdam Conservatory with Ad van zon and graduated Cum Laude in 1989.
He had lessons with prof. Ludwig Guttler in Dresden and Johannes Laubin in Stuttgart.
Andre Heuvelman is member of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra since 1990. In 1997 he became principal trumpet. He played as a soloist with the Rotterdam Philharmonic with chiefconductor Valery Gergiev on tour to Vienna, and London.
Besides that he is a frequently asked soloist with Dutch (chamber)orchestras. In 1994 he released his first solocd “Vivace” with baroqueconcerto’s. In comtemporary music he was a soloist, invited by the composer Klaas de Vries in his opera “A King Riding” in the circustheater in brussels and the Holland Festival Carre Amsterdam. This opera is also recorded as a live cd.
Andre Heuvelman is professor of trumpet at the Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam and Fontys College of Music in Tilburg.
Hendrik-Jan Renes

Hendruk-Jan Renes studied at the Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam with Adriaan Boorsma, former tubaplayer of the Concertgebouworchestra. At age 21 Hendrik-Jan Renes got the tuba position with the Limburgs Symfonie Orkest (1979). In 1983 he went to the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. From 1988 he has been principal tuba in the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra.
Hendrik-Jan Renes plays with the Netherlands Wind Ensemble, the Doelenensemble and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Brass. He made several tours with the Netherlands Brass Quintet to the United States, Canada and Indonesia.
He has been a soloist with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and the Netherlands Wind Ensemble. For television, he recorded the Concerto for Tuba by Vaughan Williams with the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra.
Hendrik-Jan Renes is a teacher with the Rotterdam Conservatory, Royal Conservatory in The Hague and the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp.
