June 29, 2003 - Rotterdam East Corps (open air)



On the Sunday afternoon the ASB had an open air concert...




... on the stairs of the World Trade Center of the world biggest
harbour city Rotterdam.




During this open air concert the ASB playing "God with us",
"Vitae Lux",...




... the finale from Symphony No. 9, opus 95 (E-minor), "From the
New World", popularly known as the New World Symphony was
composed by the Czech Antonín Dvorák in 1893 during his
visit to the United States of America arranged for
brass band by Ray Steadman Allen.




...the euphonium duet "Fire Divine" by Ty Watson,...




...Peter Graham's "Gaelforce", trombone feature "I will Follow Him"...




...a trombone solo "Whisper a little prayer" played by Paul Roelofs...




... and "On a Misson" based on the soundtrack of the Indiana
Jones movie, but on an old Salvation Army tune instead.




After the open air concert the band got back to the Rotterdam East
corps. This not only marks the end of the ASB weekend and the
last ASB weekend of the season but also to say bye to a few of our
bandsmen; Peter Krommenhoek, Paul Roelofs, Simon Vellinga, Gerrit
Wiegers and Jeroen Wentel:
